From immigrant households to culture clashes, this is comedy that hits home. Join Learnmore Jonasi for a night of big laughs, shared experiences, and unapologetically African humour all night long.

Learnmore Jonasi is a Zimbabwean stand-up comedian and actor whose larger-than-life storytelling is inspired by personal experiences, sharp observations, and his unique “view from the top.” Performing in theatres, festivals, comedy clubs, and television shows across more than 20 countries, Learnmore has become one of Africa’s most celebrated comedic voices.

His accolades include winning the 2023 Boston Comedy Festival and the Audience Choice Award at the 2023 Jersey City Comedy Festival. In 2019, he received the National Arts Merit Award for Outstanding Comedian of the Year, the Savanna Comic Choice Award for Pan African Comic of the Year, and was crowned the People’s Choice winner in Steve Harvey’s Stand Up Spotlight competition. Most recently, he earned the Golden Buzzer on America's Got Talent and placed 5th in 2024.

There will also be local vendors showcasing and selling merchandise ranging from T-shirts and cultural apparel to fridge magnets and more-so come ready to laugh, connect, and support small businesses from the community.

Audience Advisory: This event is intended for adult audiences (18+). It includes audience participation, use of smoke/fog effects,  strobe or flashing lights, sudden loud sounds, and mature language.

Please note: Complimentary tickets for support persons - please contact the Ticket Office for more information. All sales final. This event is organized by an external group and is not produced by the City of Mississauga.
