Produced by Trixstar Entertainment, it originated in 2021 in Edmonton with headlining comedians David Spade, Chelsea Handler, Nikki Glaser, and more. Since its inception, the festival has grown to include stops in Vancouver, Calgary, Halifax, Winnipeg, Mississauga, Ottawa, London, and Spokane. Past Great Outdoors Comedy Festival headliners include Jerry Seinfeld, John Mulaney, Shane Gillis, Iliza Shlesinger, Bill Burr, Nate Bargatze, Kevin Hart, Whitney Cummings, Martin Short, Matt Rife, Amy Schumer, Tom Segura, Andrew Schulz, Theo Von, and more.
