Honouring Traditions Powwow and Artisan Expo

Family friendly Kids

The Honouring Traditions Pow Wow and Artisan Expo is a celebration of culture, community, and learning, and everyone is welcome to join in. The day begins with the Grand Entry at 1:00 pm, a powerful procession of dancers, drummers, and dignitaries entering the dance circle to open the celebration. Throughout the afternoon you will experience a variety of drumming and dancing, including intertribal songs where everyone is invited into the circle, no regalia required, to share in the spirit of dance and connection.

Beyond the dance circle, there is plenty to explore. Vendors will be on site offering food, beadwork, art, and other handcrafted items. Educational opportunities are woven throughout the day, with a regalia display, an “Ask Questions” booth, a Blackfoot colouring book station for children, and a fun scavenger hunt for young visitors. Our emcees will guide the program, sharing stories, and helpful explanations to enrich your experience as you take in the sights, sounds, and traditions of the pow wow.

Everyone is welcome to this free, family friendly event!
